Cara Moore is an American artist raised in the Chihuahua Desert of West Texas, moving to Houston during the oil boom of the late 70s. Educated in fine arts and design, she produces work in a variety of mediums including; painting, three-dimensional assemblage, pop culture digital art, and collage interiors. Cara is the daughter of a red green color blind male ,which qualifies her to have four cones, instead of three in the back of your eyes to perceive a broader spectrum of color,called tetracromacy. She works around a psychological phenomenon called Pareidolia ,where your brain uses visual system to interpret , random abstract shapes into meaningful images such as poodle clouds or moon faces.
Some of her more notable clients have been Houston Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich, World renowned Restauranteur Tony Vallone, and Simon Realty at the galleria 4 in Houston ,and has recently completed a 2000 square-foot mural in an handicap accessible playground at Ronald McDonald House.
She also produces a line of vintage nudes she transforms into divas ,damsels and deities for the enlightenment of women.
